Bhutan Prime Minister visit European Union
Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay’s delegation arrived in Brussels for his visit to the European Union at the invitation of the President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker.
Prime Minister had a meeting with the Ambassador and officials of the Royal Bhutan Embassy, Brussels during which he briefed them about the developments in Bhutan and the role of embassy in promoting Bhutan’s interest in Europe.
Prime Minister then held meeting and lunch with the Bhutanese community.
In the evening, Ambassador of Bhutan to Belgium and the European Union hosted a Reception for the prime minister’s delegation.
Prime Minister will meet the Prime Minister of Luxembourg; Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for development Cooperation of Belgium; Chairperson of the European Parliament Delegation for relations with the countries of South Asia and the members of the European Parliament; President of the European Council; and the Director of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation
